Former DG NAB-Khyber Pakthunkhwa appointed SACM on anti-corruption

PESHAWAR: The government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has appointed Brigadier (R) Musaddiq Abbasi as the Special Assistant to the Chief Minister (SACM) for Anti-Corruption.

Brigadier Abbasi, the former Director General of the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has previously served as an adviser to former prime minister Imran Khan and as a member of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) core committee.
Brigadier Abbasi also succeeded Shahzad Akbar in Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) tenure, who held the position until 2022. His appointment is seen as a strategic move to bolster the province’s anti-corruption efforts, drawing on his extensive background in accountability and governance.

Brigadier Abbasi’s new role will involve overseeing anti-corruption strategies, implementing reforms, and ensuring that corruption cases are dealt with efficiently and effectively.
