Pakistan enhances convenience for Hajj in 2024

Hajj 2024

WEB DESK: In an attempt to enhance the Hajj pilgrimage experience for Pakistani pilgrims in 2024, the federal government has unveiled a comprehensive update to the Hajj package.

This updated package is designed to provide greater accessibility, convenience, and comfort for Pakistani pilgrims.

One of the key changes is the introduction of a shorter 20- to 25-day Hajj programme, aimed at making the pilgrimage more efficient and accessible to a wider range of people.

To address overcrowding and improve the overall experience, the official Hajj scheme is projected to accommodate over 90,000 pilgrims.

For overseas Pakistanis, there’s a significant enhancement with the continuation of the sponsorship Hajj scheme.

Pilgrims who choose to pay their Hajj expenses in US dollars will be exempt from the conventional lottery system, simplifying the payment process.

Pakistanis can now choose their residence in Madina Munawara for a duration ranging from 4 to 8 days, offering greater flexibility and convenience to tailor their stay to their preferences.

According to Samaa, every pilgrim will receive a specially designed bag featuring the Pakistani flag, a QR code for easy identification, and relevant information to enhance their Hajj experience.

Additionally, a dedicated mobile app for online registration of Hajj applications is set to launch, streamlining administrative processes and making it easier for Pakistani pilgrims to apply and manage their Hajj journey.

The anticipated Hajj policy for the year 2024 is expected to receive approval from the federal cabinet in the coming month.

These changes and added features reflect the government’s determination to make the Hajj experience a more accessible and convenient for all Pakistanis who embark on this sacred pilgrimage.
