Indian spy detained in Karachi

KARACHI: In a collaborative effort with Law Enforcement Agencies (LEAs), the District City Police in Karachi have successfully apprehended an Indian spy involved in covert activities aimed at gathering sensitive information from various strategic locations within Pakistan.
The arrest was confirmed by Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Arif Aziz.
The captured Indian spy was reportedly identified as Akhil Dev. He was found to be operating with the assistance of a Pakistani facilitator named Zahoor Ahmed.
According to ARY News, the operation also resulted in the seizure of crucial evidence, including two Indian passports, 500,000 Irani Riyal, a pistol, counterfeit jewelry, six mobile phones, one tablet, and various documents.
According to SSP Arif Aziz, Akhil Dev is a trained Indian agent who had been operating undercover in Pakistan with the collaboration of local facilitators. The operation’s success underscores the importance of joint efforts by law enforcement to thwart espionage and maintain national security.
Ongoing investigations are expected to yield further insights into the extent of the spy’s activities and potential connections. Authorities are actively conducting raids to apprehend any additional individuals associated with the suspects, with the hope of uncovering more about the espionage network’s operations.
