Chief Justice of PHC orders ‘immediate recovery’ of abducted judge

District and Sessions Judge Shakirullah Marwat was abducted from Tank Road in DI Khan yesterday. Initial investigations have revealed that the perpetrators, numbering between 25 to 30, intercepted the judge’s car at Tank Road. They were heavily armed and had blocked the road with motorcycles.

According to the case details, the armed assailants fired upon the vehicle, prompting the judge and the driver to exit amidst the chaos.

After a 40-minute ordeal, during which the vehicle traversed into the forested area, the judge was coerced into changing his attire from pant-shirt to shalwar kameez, which the assailants retrieved from the car.

Subsequently, the terrorists set the vehicle ablaze and instructed the driver to convey their demands. They cited the incarceration of their relatives and women as the motive behind the abduction. “We will present our demands, if fulfilled, we will release the judge,” the driver relayed their message.
