Khawaja Asif to file complaint over heckling incident

ISLAMABAD: Defence Minister Khawaja Asif will launch a formal complaint with the London police regarding the heckling incident against him.

Khawaja Asif was verbally abused and threatened of a knife attack at London station by an unidentified man.

Khawaja Asif has met with senior officials of the Pakistani High Commission in London and has narrated the entire incident.

A formal request on behalf of the defence minister will now be filed by the Pakistan High Commission.

 Meanwhile, the Pakistani government has also taken serious notice of the incident and the Pakistani High Commission has been instructed to take legal action against the abuser, according to a private TV channel report.

Pakistan Muslim League (N) President Nawaz Sharif and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif have also directed action against the individual responsible for the threats and abusive language.
