Nawaz Sharif lauds PML-N contributions in ‘advancing’ Pakistan

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) supremo, Nawaz Sharif, praised his party’s ‘commitments’ on Wednesday.
He claimed that the country ‘witnessed’ improvement in several sectors, including a reduction in inflation and an increase in foreign exchange reserves.

Nawaz talked about the ‘progress’ made by his party, claiming that Pakistan’s growth rate was on the rise.
The PML-N supremo declared that had his governments not faced disruption, Pakistan could have achieved the status of “Asian tiger” by now. Despite the fact he has served as Pakistan’s prime minister thrice.
The former prime minister criticised “certain factions” for prioritising personal agenda over national interests, hinting that their actions had undermined the country’s stability.
He also mentioned his lifetime disqualification from politics and removal from party presidency.
Nawaz praised that his brother, Shehbaz Sharif, the current PM, for his ‘contributions’ in improving the country’s inflation.
He also praised his daughter, Maryam Nawaz, for reportedly allocating Rs5t0 billion to provide ‘affordable’ electricity and support for the underprivileged.
Nawaz argued that the funding would facilitate several development projects. However, focus should remain on alleviating poverty.
Nawaz also claimed that his family member’s administration created numerous jobs, and brought unemployment levels down. He also claimed his party’s tenure in the office helped spearhead several development projects, including motorways.
The former prime minister recalled that Pakistan experienced its most substantial growth along the PML-N’s government. He claimed that his party’s accomplishments were ‘well-remembered’.
Nawaz lambasted the previous government, stating that despite being entrusted with leadership, they failed to deliver on their promises.

He challenged the previous administration to account for its ambitious projects, including the multi-billion train initiative and the construction of several dams.
“Where is that dam wala baba who was with you”, Nawaz pointedly retorted.
