New school timings during PSL matches

LAHORE: School timings in Lahore have been revised due to the ongoing Pakistan Super League (PSL) matches as all the schools across the province open on Monday after the Eid break.

According to a notification issued by the Punjab Education Department, the new timings will apply to schools located near Gaddafi Stadium and surrounding areas, including Gulberg, Model Town, Ichhra, Jail Road, and Ferozepur Road.

The notification further states that the new schedule will also be enforced in schools situated in Shadman, Canal Road, Upper Mall, and Zahoor Elahi Road. In these specific areas, schools will operate from 7:00 am to 12:00 pm.

The notification includes the PSL match schedule from March 28 to April 21. However, matches in Lahore are scheduled to be played from April 24 to May 18.

Timings have been adjusted for 50 schools in Lahore located on or near team movement routes. The revised schedule applies to both public and private schools and will remain in effect until the PSL concludes.

SCHOOLS REOPEN ON MONDAY AFTER EID BREAK

Schools across the Punjab province will reopen on Monday (April 7) after the Eid-ul-Fitr holidays. The schools and colleges across the province have been closed since March 28 for the Eid break

Meanwhile, Punjab Schools Secretary Khalid Wattoo stated that government schools will observe holidays from March 28 to April 6. However, annual results for government schools will be announced on April 4.

The Punjab Education Department has also announced revised timings for schools after Eid ul Fitr holidays.

The Punjab Education Department has issued a formal notification regarding new school timings.

According to the notification, single-shift schools will start at 8 AM and close at 1:30 PM, with Friday’s dismissal at 12 PM.

In double-shift schools, the morning shift will begin at 8 AM and end at 12:30 PM, while Friday’s closing time will be 12 PM.
