ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Air Force (PAF), detecting the presence of four Indian Air Force Rafale jets near the Line of Control (LoC) forced the enemy jets to retreat.
According to security sources, PAF enhanced aerial surveillance after detecting four Indian Air Force Rafale jets conducting a patrol mission over Indian-occupied Jammu and Kashmir, while remaining within Indian airspace on the night between April 29 and April 30.
Information Minister claims intelligence of “imminent Indian military” act
Prompt and vigilant action by the PAF forced the Indian jets into retreat, reportedly in a state of panic, according to sources.
The brave soldiers of the Pakistan Armed Forces are fully alert and ready to give a befitting response to any Indian aggression, according to the security sources.
They reiterated that any incursion or hostile move would be met with a strong and effective countermeasure.
This development comes amid growing tensions along the Line of Control (LoC), where both sides remain on high alert.
The backdrop to the current crisis includes India’s recent suspension of the Indus Water Treaty, a critical agreement governing water-sharing rights between the two nuclear-armed states.
Following the Pahalgam attack, India accused Pakistan of involvement without any proof, leading to a diplomatic crisis.
India expelled Pakistani diplomats and closed its borders. In retaliation, Pakistan suspended the Simla Agreement, restricted trade, and closed its airspace to Indian flights.
Earlier on Tuesday, Defence Minister Khawaja Asif also issued a stark warning regarding the escalating situation. He stated that the next two to four days were critical for national security.
Asif said that any violation of Pakistan’s land, air or sea borders would be met with a forceful response. “We have taken the steps that should have been taken. If they try to impose war, we will respond forcefully”.
