Pakistanis stranded in Lebanon return home

KARACHI: A special flight successfully brought back 71 Pakistani nationals stranded in Lebanon and Syria early on Wednesday.
The flight, operated by Cham Wings Airlines, a private Syrian airline, landed at Karachi’s Jinnah International Airport around 3 am local time.

Among the returnees, 67 Pakistanis arrived from Lebanon, while four were repatriated from Syria.
The returnees were welcomed by Sindh Governor Kamran Tessori and National Assembly member Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui, who expressed relief at the successful operation.
Governor Tesuri said that the government has been commitment to ensuring the timely and safe return of its citizens. “Those who are left in Lebanon will also be brought back safely,” he stated.
Meanwhile, Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui acknowledged the difficulties encountered in contacting stranded Pakistanis under the prevailing conditions. He commended the efforts of the the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for their role in helping the stranded Pakistanis return home.
The returnees thanked the Prime Minister for their safe arrival back home. The families expressed relief in having their relatives return home, as they had been anxiously awaiting their safe return.
