Plane makes emergency landing in Karachi

KARACHI:  An international flight on bound to Dhaka made an emergency landing in Karachi after a passenger died on board.

Flight G9512, operated by a foreign airline, was traveling from Sharjah to Dhaka when a 42-year-old passenger became critically ill, prompting the crew to seek emergency landing permission.

The Pakistan Airports Authority (PAA) spokesperson said the Sharjah-Dhaka flight was granted permission for medical emergency landing upon deterioration of the passenger’s health condition.

The aircraft successfully landed at Karachi Airport with the authorization of the local air traffic controller.

Upon arrival, a medical team from the Civil Aviation Authority confirmed that the passenger had already passed away.

Following protocol, the body was transferred to the airline.

The flight resumed its journey to Dhaka, leaving Karachi at 6:15 AM with the deceased on board.
