Today’s matric exam postponed in Karachi

KARACHI: Matric exam for today (Tuesday) in Karachi have been postponed after the federal government announced a public holiday on May 28. While Cambridge exams will be held as per schedule today.

According to the Provincial Minister of Boards and Universities Muhammad Ali Malkani, matric exam will not be held in Karachi today due to the public holiday, the new date of the paper postponed will be announced later.

The Private Schools Association had called for the exams to be held as per schedule.

The public holiday has been announced in commemoration of Youm-e-Takbeer.

It should be noted that the matriculation papers were postponed from May 21 to 27 due to extreme heat and heat stroke.

Meanwhile, Karachi University has cancelled all examinations scheduled for Tuesday. The date of the rescheduled exams will be announced soon.

CAMBRIDGE EXAMS TO BE HELD AS PER SCHEDULE

Cambridge’s O/A level and IGCSE exams in Pakistan scheduled for May 28 (today) will be held as per the schedule.

According to a spokesperson for Cambridge International Examinations (Pakistan) the papers of (IG) First Language Spanish, (IG) Additional Mathematics, (OL) Additional Mathematics, (AS) Law and (AS) Biology ( Practical- Advanced) are scheduled for the AM (morning session) while the papers of PM session (afternoon/evening session) include (IG) Sociology, (OL) Sociology, (AS) French Language, (AL) Sociology and (AL) French.
