Two brothers shot dead in Khairpur over solar plate ‘theft’ allegations

KHAIRPUR: A landlord killed two farmer brothers with the help of his employees, over the alleged solar plate theft issue in the Faiz Muhammad Bandu area of Khairpur on Wednesday.

The brothers Sanaullah and Abdul Shakoor were working in the fields of sugarcane when the landlord and his men started shooting at them.

Father of the killed brothers, Nazeer Jamro told the media that yesterday the landlord had falsely accused his sons of stealing a solar panel, and he had also threatened to kill them. Today, the landlord reached the field of sugarcane with his men and killed his sons, father Nazeer Jamro said.

Following the incident, Khairpur police reached to the spot and shifted the dead bodies of the deceased to the local hospital.

Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Zubair Nazir Sheikh confirmed that the Khairpur police have detained five individuals based on suspicion while raids are being conducted initiated to apprehend the accused. – INP
