ISLAMABAD: Water inflows and outflows at major river points across the country remained steady on Saturday, with the combined water storage in Tarbela, Mangla and Chashma reservoirs recorded at 8.921 million acre-feet (MAF), according to the Water and Power Development Authority (WAPDA).

At Tarbela, the inflow in the Indus River was measured at 313,300 cusecs, while outflow stood at 257,400 cusecs. The water level in the Tarbela reservoir was recorded at 1,534 feet, holding a storage volume of 4.823 MAF.

Meanwhile, the Mangla Dam received 29,700 cusecs of water from the Jhelum River, with an outflow of 7,000 cusecs. The water level at the reservoir was 1,196.75 feet, storing 4.055 MAF of water.

At Chashma Barrage, the inflow was 424,900 cusecs and outflow was 402,500 cusecs. The reservoir’s water level stood at 641 feet, with a storage capacity of 43,000 acre-feet.

In the eastern rivers, the Chenab River at Head Marala saw an inflow of 61,500 cusecs and an outflow of 37,100 cusecs. The Kabul River at Nowshera recorded both inflow and outflow at 44,000 cusecs.
