You can’t enter motorways without M-tag from January 1

The National Highway and Motorway Police (NHMP) has announced that no vehicles will be allowed to enter motorways without an M-tag from January 1.

In a social media post, NHMP stated, “No entry on motorways without an M-tag after December 31, 2023.”

The post further advised that for inquiries, citizens can contact the helpline at 1313.

M-Tag Online Registration

Currently, the registration service is not available online. However, for other M-Tag-related services, you can download the One Network application to make inquiries.

The application provides several useful features, including checking your transaction history, recharge, toll calculation, and balance checking, among other functionalities.

How to register for M-tag?

For registration, one must first locate a nearby physical booth. Upon arrival, individuals are required to present their original CNIC along with a copy of the vehicle’s registration certificate. The next step involves filling out a registration form, which should be submitted alongside the necessary documents.

What is M-tag?

It is an RFID (Radio Frequency Identification)-based Electronic Toll Collection Technology utilized on the motorways of Pakistan. It enables users to conveniently pay their toll taxes at motorway toll plazas.
