ISLAMABAD – Former Information Minister Fawad Chaudhry has announced his intention to challenge the census results in court.
The made this announcement through his twitter account on Saturday.

Expressing his concern over the census statistics for Punjab, he described it as a blow to the province’s political rights.
CCI inconclusive on new census schedule
Fawad Chaudhry questioned the accuracy of the census, as it showed a decrease in the population of Punjab, leading to the loss of eight seats in the National Assembly.
He pointed out that districts like Jehlum and Chakwal would now have only one seat, while Multan, Lahore, and Gujranwala would also suffer losses in their representation.
Fawad Chaudhry further criticized the lack of transparency in the methodology and results of the census.
He expressed dismay over the response of Punjab’s politicians to the census results and asserted that he would take legal action to challenge the outcome in court.
