Asian Champions Trophy: Pakistan to face India today

CHENNAI: After an unimpressive tournament so far, Pakistan will now face arch-rivals India in a do-or-die match of 2023 Men’s Asian Champions Trophy today.

A win for greenshirts will guarantee them a spot in the semi-finals, but a defeat would almost lead to elimination from the competition.

Pakistan is currently number 4 on the points table having begun the tournament with a loss to Malaysia, drawing against South Korea and Japan and then a 2-1 victory over China has kept them in the race for last-four.

Meanwhile, with three wins and a draw, India are atop the table.

All six teams in the tournament  play five matches each in the round-robin stage with the top four qualifying for the semi-finals.

Pakistan and India have won the Asian Champions Trophy thrice apiece.
