LAHORE: Peshawar Zalmi’s owner, Javed Afridi, presented star batter Babar Azam with a white MG car as a token of appreciation for his exceptional performance in the 2024 Pakistan Super League (PSL) season.

Afridi shared a photo of Babar Azam happily seated inside his new car on X (formerly Twitter), where Babar took it for a test drive. The car, valued at approximately PKR 72.0 – 81.0 lacs, signifies Afridi’s recognition of Babar’s achievements for his team.

Babar Azam, the captain of Peshawar Zalmi, emerged as the highest run-scorer in PSL 9, amassing an impressive total of 569 runs in 11 matches at an average of 56.90, including five half-centuries and one century.

Despite his outstanding performance, Zalmi fell short of winning the title and were eliminated from the tournament in the Eliminator, losing to eventual champions Islamabad United.
