Kishmala Talat ranked second-best female shooter in Asia

KARACHI: Kishmala Talat secured the position of second-best female shooter in Asia in the women’s 10m air pistol category.
This was revealed in the latest annual ranking from the Asian Shooting Confederation.

Talat achieved a score of 1,350 points, placing her just behind India’s Esha Singh, who leads with 1,500 points. In the women’s 25m pistol event, Talat is ranked 29th.
Talat expressed her happiness and gratitude for such a huge accomplishment. “I feel deeply honoured and thankful to everyone who has supported me along the way”.
Looking forward, Kishmala Talat aims to improve her performance in the coming year. “With my sights set on the 2025, I am aiming for new goals. I am eager to continue training, learning and pushing my limits to represent Pakistan with pride and honour”.
Earlier this year, the shooter made history by presenting Pakistani the Paris Olympics, becoming the first female shooter from the country to qualify directly for the Olympics.
Other Pakistani shooters have made strides in the Asian ranking. Ghulam Joseph claimed the seventh position in the men’s 25m rapid-fire category.

Meanwhile, Bashir clocked in at 15th place in the men’s 25m rapid-fire event.
