ISLAMABAD: The National Assembly (NA) Standing Committee on Inter-Provincial Coordination reviewed the recent move of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) from the Ministry of Inter-Provincial Coordination to the Prime Minister’s (PM’s) Secretariat on Thursday.
Chairman Sanaullah Khan Mastikhel led the committee’s inquiry into the transfer. Mastikhel asked who authorised the PCB’s removal from the ministry.

The Secretary of the Ministry of Inter-Provincial Coordination stated that the PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi requested the Prime Minister to oversee the board directly from the Secretariat.
Mastikhel ordered a report to determine whether the PCB’s transfer followed the proper procedures. He questioned the necessity of the move, noting that all other departments are under the Prime Minister’s authority.
Mastikhel also directed a review of any actions taken during the caretaker government that might be deemed illegal, calling for their reversal.
