Sheamus set to make WWE return after injury layoff

Sheamus

CONNECTICUT: World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) fans can anticipate the return of the Celtic Warrior, Sheamus, to the wrestling ring after a hiatus of over three months.

According to international media, Sheamus has been sidelined since August, with his last match against Edge on Friday Night SmackDown in Toronto, which turned out to be Edge’s final WWE appearance before joining All Elite Wrestling (AEW).

During his absence, Sheamus has been recovering from a shoulder injury, and indications suggest he is poised for a comeback later this month.

According to WWE’s upcoming live events schedule, Sheamus is slated to return on November 24 for SmackDown at Chicago’s Allstate Arena, coinciding with Survivor Series weekend.

Further advertisements indicate his involvement in subsequent shows, including the December 8 SmackDown, hinting at a full-time return to the wrestling scene.

This marks a comeback for Sheamus, who had an active year before his break, aligning with the Brawling Brutes and vying for the United States championship, currently held by Logan Paul.

Notably, Sheamus is among the high-profile WWE Superstars who inked 5-year contracts in 2019, with his deal set to expire next year alongside Drew McIntyre, Becky Lynch, and others.

With his friend Adam Copeland (Edge) making a significant move to AEW, securing what he terms the “biggest contract” of his career, Sheamus might opt to let his contract expire and explore potential opportunities with other companies before committing to another long-term deal with WWE. The wrestling community eagerly awaits the return of the Celtic Warrior to the squared circle.
