T20 series: PAK set record target of 202 against BAN, Agha remains top scorer

LAHORE: Pakistan sets a huge target of 202 in T20 series against Bangladesh, with the national team Captain Salman Ali Agha maximum scoring 56.
Beside captain Agha’s record score of 56, other top performers remained all-rounder Shadab Khan and only-batter Hassan Nawaz, delivering 48 and 44, respectively.
The Agha led team delivered a record target of 202 with 7 wickets loss from 20 overs.
The countering team’s shining performers were Shoriful Islam (taking two wickets) and Mahedi Hasan, Hassan, Tanzim and Shamim (smashing one wicket each).
Earlier, the top scorer captain Agha, who won the toss and elected to bat first, expressed that his whole team was in a performing mood and ready to defeat the rival team in the opening T20 match of the series. Similarly, Bangladeshi Captain Litton Das said his team preferred to field first, owing to his first time playing in Gaddafi Stadium.

The national team lineup includes Fakhar Zaman, Saim Ayub, Muhammad Haris, Hassan Nawaz, Shadab Khan, Khushdil Shah, Faheem Ashraf, Hassan Ali, Haris Rauf, Abrar Ahmad, and captain Salman Ali Agha.
The Bangladeshi team includes Tanzid Hasan, Parvez Hossain Emon, Mehidy Hasan Miraz, Najmul Hossain Shanto, Towhid Hridoy, Shamim Hossain, Zakir Ali, Rishad Hossain, Mahedi Hasan, Tanvir Islam, Mustafizur Rahman, Hasan Mahmud, Tanzim Hasan Sakib, Shoriful Islam and the captain Litton Das.
The trophy for the Pakistan-Bangladesh T20 series was unveiled Tuesday, at Gaddafi Stadium at 6:15 PM.
Originally, a five-match series between the two nations was planned and set to start on May 25. However, due to escalating tensions between Pakistan and India earlier this month, the series was rescheduled.
