RIYADH: The Haramain Sharifain administration has announced that pilgrims can now perform Nawafil (optional prayers) in Riyazul Jannah year-round. This marks a change from the previous rule, which allowed such prayers only once a year.

The updated policy aims to enhance the spiritual experience of visitors to Masjid al-Nabawi, providing more opportunities for prayers at this revered site.

However, securing a permit through the Nusuk mobile app remains mandatory for performing prayers in Riyazul Jannah.

According to updates shared by the administration on social media, visitors can now obtain a new prayer permit every 20 minutes via the Nusuk app, offering greater flexibility for planning their visits.

This change will especially benefit those already present at Masjid al-Nabawi, making it easier for them to arrange and secure permits for Nawafil prayers in Riyaz ul Jannah under the revised guidelines.

The move is expected to provide pilgrims with more opportunities for worship and reflection in one of the mosque’s holiest areas.
