WEB DESK: In a notable development, the price of 24 karat gold per tola in Pakistan has surged by Rs900, reaching Rs215,700 on Thursday, as reported by the All Sindh Sarafa Jewellers Association.

This marks a significant uptick from its previous value of Rs214,800 on the last trading day.

Similarly, the cost of 10 grammes of 24 karat gold has seen a rise of Rs772, now standing at Rs184,928 compared to its earlier value of Rs184,156.

Meanwhile, the price of 10 grammes of 22-karat gold has increased to Rs169,517 from Rs168,810.

These fluctuations are intricately tied to the shifting value of the US dollar, highlighting the delicate relationship between currency values and gold prices.

This underscores the considerable impact of global economic factors on local gold markets.

Contrarily, the price of 24-karat silver has remained steadfast at Rs2,570. Notably, on the international front, the global gold price has experienced a minor increase of $9, reaching $2,057 per ounce.

This information signals the interconnectedness of various economic factors influencing the gold market on a global scale.
