24-karat gold price drops by Rs200 per tola in Pakistan

KARACHI: The price of 24-karat gold in Pakistan saw a decrease of Rs200 per tola, settling at Rs241,300 on Saturday, compared to Rs241,500 the previous day.
Similarly, the price for 10 grammes of 24-karat gold dropped by Rs171, from Rs207,047 to Rs206,876, according to the All Sindh Sarafa Jewellers Association.
In the 22-karat category, the price for 10 grammes also experienced a decline, falling from Rs189,793 to Rs189,636. Conversely, the prices of silver remained stable. The cost of one tola of silver held steady at Rs2,750, while the price for 10 grammes of silver remained unchanged at Rs2,357.68.
Despite the domestic decline, the international gold market saw an increase. Gold prices rose by $9, reaching $2,332 per ounce, up from $2,323.
Earlier in the week, on Thursday, the price of 24-karat gold per tola had dropped significantly by Rs1,200, from Rs241,900 to Rs240,700.
The 10 grammes of 24-karat gold also decreased by Rs1,029, moving from Rs207,390 to Rs206,361. For 22-karat gold, the price per 10 grammes decreased from Rs190,108 to Rs189,165.
Meanwhile, silver prices remained consistent, with per tola and 10 grammes of silver priced at Rs2,750 and Rs2,357.68, respectively.
On the international front, the gold price saw a modest increase of $2, moving from $2,313 to $2,315.
This fluctuation in gold prices highlights the dynamic nature of precious metal markets, influenced by various global economic factors.
