5.7 magnitude earthquake shakes Afghanistan

KABUL: A 5.7-magnitude earthquake struck Afghanistan’s Hindu Kush region on Friday, according to the German Research Centre for Geosciences (GFZ).

The tremor occurred at a depth of around 10 kilometres, GFZ reported. There were no immediate reports of casualties or damage, Reuters reported.
