Azam Swati sent on three-day physical remand

ISLAMABAD: Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) judge Tahir Abass Supra on Monday granted a three-day physical remand of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Senator Azam Swati.
Kohsar police had registred a First Information Report (FIR) against the PTI leader under terrorism charges.
When the judge presided over the proceedings, Station House Officer (SHO) Shafiq Faiz requested for a 30 day physical remand of Azam Swati stating that he was wanted for the recovery of the mobile phone and the monetary help he had extended to the PTI workers to participate in the D-Chowk protest .

When the PTI leader was given the roster, he asked the judge, “Were you only waiting for me?”. The judge replied, “you are not the only person as I have to adjudicate on 200 other cases too.”

Azam Swati’s counsel argued that his client was arrested on October 5 from near Sangjani but he was produced in the court after a hiatus of two days.
After the arguments from both sides, the judge granted the three-day physical remand of Azam Swati.
