Canada envoy, Dar discuss regional peace, bilateral ties

ISLAMABAD: Canada’s High Commissioner to Pakistan, Ambassador Tarik Ali Khan, met Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, with both sides reaffirming their commitment to strengthening bilateral ties and promoting regional peace, the Foreign Office said.

During the meeting, the Canadian envoy conveyed Ottawa’s appreciation for Pakistan’s efforts to facilitate engagement aimed at advancing peace in the region.

Dar highlighted Pakistan’s continued role in promoting lasting peace both regionally and beyond, while welcoming sustained high-level interactions between the two countries.

He also reiterated Pakistan’s commitment to further expanding bilateral relations with Canada across multiple sectors, the Foreign Office said.
