Gandapur, Barrister Gohar meet Imran as PTI gears up for Nov 24 rally

Army Chief

RAWALPINDI: As the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insf (PTI) gears up for the public rally on November 24, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur and PTI Chairman Barrister Gohar Ali Khan met with former prime minister Imran Khan in Adiala jail.

This was the second time the two leaders met with their jailed leader in less than 24 hours. The said meeting lasted for two hours, sources said.

Earlier, Imran Khan authorised Barrister Gohar and Gandapur to hold direct talks with the establishment. According to Imran Khan’s sister Aleema Khan, if the talks with the establishment bear fruit, November 24 would be marked as “a day of celebration.”

Imran Khan on Tuesday asked party leaders and ticket holders to leave the party if they were unable to join the ‘final protest call’ on November 24.

In a statement, posted to his official X account, Imran Khan said his call was not just for the people associated with the party, but for the entire nation to “come out on November 24 with the same passion that you demonstrated on February 8, when you came out, despite all the challenges, to prove the power of your vote.”

Declaring it a golden opportunity to get ‘real freedom’, Khan said if any PTI leader or ticket holder is not able to ensure their participation in the protest, they should leave the PTI “because this is the decisive moment when the entire nation will come out for freedom. The nation will not accept any excuse at such a critical time”.
