Fast bowler Haris Rauf has been fined 20 per cent of his ODI match fee for breaching Article 2.20 of the ICC Code of Conduct during Pakistan’s tri-series match against England in Lahore on Sunday.
The fast bowler was found to have violated the rule, which relates to “displaying conduct that is contrary to the spirit of the game”. He was awarded one demerit point as a result of the disciplinary decision made by the ICC.
As per his disciplinary record, it was Haris’s third offence in a 24-month period, taking his tally of demerit points to five. His previous four points were awarded for two separate incidents involving India during the 2025 Asia Cup, with two points imposed for each offence on September 14 and September 28.
The incident took place at the end of the 46th over of Pakistan’s innings, when Haris, batting at the non-striker’s end, appealed for a wide before exchanging words with England all-rounder Will Jacks. Despite a warning from umpire Sharfuddoula Ibne Shahid, Haris continued the argument, raising his bat as he brushed past the umpire and approached Jacks.
Haris Rauf has been fined 20% of his match fee and handed one demerit point for breaching the ICC Code of Conduct against England. It’s his third offence in 24 months, taking his tally to five demerit points. He had already served a two-match ODI suspension following the Asia Cup in November 2025. https://t.co/6YnvZPrSvq

England, meanwhile, were penalised 15 per cent of their match fee for maintaining an over-rate three overs below the required minimum, after time allowances were accounted for.
Under Article 2.22 of the ICC Code of Conduct for Players and Player Support Personnel, teams are penalised five per cent of their players’ match fees for each over they fail to bowl within the allotted time.
Both Haris and England captain Harry Brook accepted the proposed sanctions from Jeff Crowe of the Emirates ICC Elite Panel of Match Referees after admitting their respective offences, avoiding the need for formal hearings.
The charges were brought by on-field umpires Rashid Riaz and Sharfuddoula, third umpire Wayne Knights and fourth umpire Nassir Hussain.
