IHC grants 15-day protective bail to PTI leader Aliya Hamza

ISLAMBAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Aliya Hamza has filed a protective bail application with the Islamabad High Court (IHC) in relation to cases registered in Faisalabad and Sargodha.
Represented by lawyers Khakan Mir and Ishtiaq A. Khan, Hamza has requested an urgent hearing for the application.
The previous day, an anti-terrorism court in Gujranwala acquitted Hamza in a case linked to the incidents of May 9. Neither Aliya nor her legal representatives appeared in court for this matter.
On August 7, Aliya was released from Gujranwala Jail following the submission of her release orders.

Aliya faced accusations of planning attacks on sensitive installations in the Cantt area of Gujranwala on May 9. She was arrested by the Gujranwala police after her release from Sargodha Jail.
