Saudi Aramco opens first fuel station in Pakistan

Saudi Aramco

LAHORE: Saudi Arabia’s oil giant Aramco has launched its first fuel station in Pakistan in collaboration with Gas & Oil Pakistan Limited (GO), marking the beginning of Aramco’s expansion into the country’s fuel retail market.

The station, located in Lahore’s commercial Gulberg district on Noor Jehan Road, follows a recent agreement by Aramco to acquire a 40 per cent stake in GO, paving the way for this strategic move.

The launch event saw local community members and representatives from both companies, underscoring the significance of Aramco’s entry into Pakistan’s energy sector.

Aramco’s Executive Vice President of Products and Customers Yasir M Mufti hailed the opening as a milestone in the company’s vision for growth in South Asia.

“Our partnership with GO will bring premium fuel quality to Pakistan,” he stated, highlighting the mutual efforts between Saudi Arabia and Pakistan to deepen trade and investment ties.

This launch comes as part of Saudi Arabia’s broader commitment to accelerate its $5 billion investment package for Pakistan, aimed at strengthening economic cooperation between the two nations.
