ISLAMABAD: Opposition leader in the National Assembly Raja Riyaz has said that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Vice-Chairman Shah Mehmood Qureshi’s release from jail was result of a ‘clandestine deal’.

The disgruntled PTI leader claimed that “anyone who walked free from Adiala jail without facing rearrest must have struck a deal.”

Riyaz further said that Qureshi would eventually part ways with the PTI.

When asked about a ticket offer (to him) from the Pakistan Muslim League- Nawaz (PML-N), he said that the current ruling party “was ready to fulfill its promise.”

He also claimed that he did not see elections in October, and talked about a provision in the constitution that says elections could be extended by six months.
