Tariq Fazal Chaudhry’s son dies in road accident


ISLAMABAD: Son of former federal minister and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Tariq Fazal Chaudhry died in a road accident late Monday night. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has expressed his condolences.

According to the sources, the incident occurred when 20-year-old Anza and his friend were returning from Blue Area to his farmhouse in Chak Shehzad, driving Anza’s new Toyota Rivo.

The car collided with a roadside pole and overturned while he was trying to avoid a motorcyclist on Seventh Avenue. The impact of the collision left Anza in critical condition.

Police reached the scene and shifted Anza and his friend to PIMS Hospital where Anza succumbed to his inquiries during treatment. His body was shifted to his residence where PML-N leadership reached for condolence.

Anza’s friend is still in critical condition.

Meanwhile, the prime minister expressed deep grief and sorrow over the death of the former minister’s son. Commiserating with the bereaved family, the PM prayed for the departed soul.
