LOS ANGELES: In a spine-chilling twist just ahead of the spooky season, the iconic house featured in the 1978 horror classic Halloween is now on the real estate market, with an asking price of $1.8 million.
According to Mirror, despite its sinister cinematic history, this four-bedroom property boasts an avocado tree and an abundance of charm, offering a unique opportunity for ‘brave buyers’.
Made famous as the residence of Laurie Strode, portrayed by Jamie Lee Curtis, in the original Halloween movie about the homicidal escapee, Michael Myers, this property holds a special place in horror movie history.
The unforgettable scene featuring Curtis sitting on the front porch clutching a pumpkin is a memorable moment that new owners could recreate with their own pumpkins.
Despite its hair-raising past, the estate agent, Heidi Babcock, highlights that this property is situated in an area considered a “walker’s paradise” and consists of three separate units. “Yes, this was a filming location for the 1978 movie Halloween, as the house of Laurie Strode (Jamie Lee Curtis),” Babcock confirms. “If you watch the movie, you’ll recognise the infamous stoop that Jamie Lee Curtis sat on, holding a pumpkin.”
For fans of the franchise, the house also made an appearance in the 2021 sequel Halloween Kills, where it became the site of gruesome firefighter murders.
Babcock said that this home is for the ones who want to blend cinematic history with modern living. “This spooky yet charming abode could be perfect for fans,” he added.
