PM Shehbaz hoists flag to mark 77th Independence Day of Pakistan

ISLAMABAD: On Wednesday, Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif led the National Flag Hoisting Ceremony at the Pakistan Monument to mark the 77th Independence Day of Pakistan.
The ceremony was attended by national Olympic champion Arshad Nadeem and Chairman of the Senate, Yusuf Raza Gilani.
During the event, the Prime Minister paid tribute to the country’s founding fathers and national heroes by laying a floral wreath at the monument.
In preparation for Independence Day, the Islamabad Police have introduced a comprehensive security and traffic management plan to ensure the safety and convenience of residents.
In Rawalpindi, security measures have been escalated to ‘high alert’ with the deployment of 5,300 police officers.
In Islamabad, more than 3,000 police officers have been assigned to uphold law and order, with over 500 personnel from the Islamabad Traffic Police (ITP) focusing on managing traffic flow and addressing violations such as one-wheeling, racing, and noisy motorcycle modifications.
