BISE Lahore to provide free OBT certificates to students

LAHORE: The Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) Lahore announced that it will issue Original Before Time (OBT) certificates for students who took their matriculation and intermediate exams in the 2021-2022 academic year (AY) on Wednesday.
The decision is expected to benefit many students, as the certificates will be provided free of charge.

BISE Lahore oversees examination for matriculation and intermediate levels in Lahore, Kasur, Sheikhpura and Nankana Sahib.
OBT certificates are important for students who have passed their annual exams, as they are needed for further education applications. Result cards are usually issued shortly after results are announced, helping students in their admission process.
According to the official notification , OBT certificates for the secondary school and intermediate annual examination from 2021 to the second annual exhumation of 2022 will be issued without any fees.
Regular candidates must submit an authority letter from their educational institution along with their application. Meanwhile, private candidates will need to submit an application to receive their certificates.
The BISE Lahore asked candidates to report any staff member who demands a fee or bribe for the issuance of the certificates to the secretary’s office immediately.

The Lahor board also revealed the top performances for class 12 inter-part 2 for the current AY.
The results were announced on Wednesday, with students able to access their results through the official BISE Lahore website, short message service (SMS) or the national gazette.
The top three performers for BISE Lahore in the intermediate part 2 results include Anum Naseer, who topped with 1090 marks. The runner-up is Saqib Butt with 1087 marks, and Amir Malik secured the third position with 1086 marks.
The results’ announcement was part of a larger initiative by the Punjab Higher Education Department, which directed various intermediate and secondary education boards to disclose the names of the top performers.

Girls performed exceptionally well, with Rida Fatima from KIPS College attaining the number one position with 1153 marks, Asma Ejaz from same college was runner-up with 1152 marks. Meanwhile, Usairam Ahmed of Government College achieved third position with 1150 marks.
Other boards, including BISE Rawalpindi, Sargodha, DG Khan, Sahiwal, Gujranwala and Faisalabad, also announced their top performers.
