Three Rangers martyred as PTI protesters enter Islamabad

ISLAMABAD: At least three Rangers personnel and one civilian were martyred and five others, including Rangers and police officials, were seriously injured after PTI protesters rammed a vehicle into them on the Srinagar Highway, according to security sources.
The tragic incident occurred as PTI protesters made their way to Islamabad to stage a sit-in. Three Rangers personnel and two police officers were martyred during attacks on law enforcement agencies.
Bodies of the deceased, including three Rangers personnel, one FC official, and a civilian, have been transported to PIMS Hospital.
Security officials reported that over 100 police personnel have been injured, many critically, in the ongoing clashes.

Earlier on Monday evening, a Rangers official was injured in an alleged attack by PTI workers at Chungi No. 26 in Islamabad.
Security reports confirmed that the violence has claimed six lives, including law enforcement personnel, while a citizen was also killed in the unrest.
In light of the escalating violence, the Pakistan Army has been deployed under Article 245 of the Constitution.
Authorities have issued strict orders to deal with the unrest and militant activities with force, including shoot-at-sight directives for extreme cases.
