Upgradation of over 100 Punjab hospitals set for completion this month

LAHORE: Chief Minister (CM) Punjab Mohsin Naqvi conducted a thorough inspection at Children’s Hospital, focusing on the ongoing upgradation work in various sections of the facility.
During his visit, CM Naqvi reviewed the progress of the upgrade work, paying specific attention to the main corridor, reception counter, and the overall quality of the ongoing construction.
The upgradation initiatives, directed by Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi, have been expedited in response to the pressing need for improved facilities. The emergency department, main corridor, and other wards are undergoing significant enhancements.
CM Naqvi highlighted the importance of maintaining high-quality standards, particularly in the aspects of electricity and air conditioning wiring. He set a strict deadline of three days for the completion of the wiring work.
The Chief Minister also urged for the swift installation of tiles in the main corridor and commended the performance of Secretary C&W, Secretary Health, and their teams for their efficient work.
Expressing satisfaction with the progress made, Mohsin Naqvi issued directives for the early completion of the upgrade work and announced the goal of enhancing facilities in more than 100 hospitals across Punjab by January 31.
During a briefing by Secretary C&W and Secretary Health on the ongoing upgradation project, details regarding the initiation of tile installation and finishing work were shared.
The ongoing revamping project in government hospitals is under constant monitoring, with the Children’s Hospital administration, XEN, and all contractors receiving strict instructions to complete the construction work by January 15, prioritising the provision of enhanced facilities for the citizens of Punjab.
