Karachi to sizzle, rain in most parts of the country

ISLAMABAD: The weather in Karachi is expected to remain hot and dry while rain, wind/thunderstorms with snow over mountains is likely at isolated places in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Kashmir, Gilgit Baltistan, upper Punjab and Islamabad during the next twelve hours.
According to the Met Office, the temperatures in Karachi will likely rise for the next 24 hours and range between 34 to 36°C. Hot and dry winds may blow during the daytime. The temperatures are expected to decline from March 13 or 14.
RAIN IN MOST PARTS OF THE COUNTRY
Rain is expected in most parts of the country today. Upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa may witness rain and snowfall. Some areas of Balochistan may experience thunderstorms and rain. Northeastern Punjab is likely to receive rain with strong winds and thunderstorms.
Azad Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan may see thunderstorms, rain, and snowfall. Islamabad is also expected to have rain with strong winds and thunderstorms.
Chagai, Quetta, Zhob, Qila Saifullah, and Ziarat may experience rain and snowfall. Rawalpindi, Attock, Jhelum, Chakwal, Mandi Bahauddin, and Sargodha are likely to receive rain.
Mianwali, Khushab, Gujrat, Sialkot, and Lahore may have rain at isolated places. Murree, Galyat, and surrounding areas are expected to witness rain and snowfall.
According to the Met Office, the rain spell is likely to last till Friday (March 14).
