Martyred soldiers in Bannu attack laid to rest with full military honours

ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Army paid tribute to several soldiers who were martyred in the line of duty, a statement by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said on Wednesday.

Among the martyrs were Deputy Subedar Muhammad Shahzad, Sergeant Shahzad Ahmed, Sergeant Zal Hussain, and soldiers Arsalan Aslam, Ashfaq Hussain Khan, Subhan Majeed, Imtiaz Khan, and Lance Corporal Sabz Ali Khan of the Frontier Constabulary, according to the ISPR.
The fallen heroes were laid to rest in their native areas with full military honours. The funeral prayers and burials were attended by a large number of senior officers of the Pakistan Army, fellow soldiers, relatives of the martyrs, and local elders, the ISPR reported.

Reaffirming the army’s resolve, the ISPR said, “This war will continue until the scourge of terrorism is eradicated from the motherland and every last terrorist is eliminated.” The ISPR further emphasised that the sacrifices of these brave soldiers will not be in vain.
