Office of returning officer ransacked, ballot papers set on fire

KHUSHAB: The office of returning officer (RO) of NA-88 Khushab constituency was attacked by an angry mob on Thursday.

According to sources, hundreds of people broke the gate of the office and entered the RO’s office.

The mob then reportedly set the ballot papers on fire.

As per sources, the political candidate of Istehkam-e-Pakistan Party (IPP) contesting elections from NA-88, Gul Asghar Baghoor’s life was threatened.

According to sources, he had come to hear the election results. Baghoor then escorted out by police for his security.
