Pakistan Army honours minority communities on National Day of Minorities

RAWALPINDI: On the occasion of the National Day of Minorities, the Pakistan Army has paid tribute to the contributions of the country’s minority communities.
The Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee (CJCSC), along with the Service Chiefs, extended their heartfelt congratulations to the minority communities across Pakistan.

The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) highlighted the vital role that minorities have played in the nation’s development and prosperity, noting that their contributions cannot be forgotten.
In a statement, the ISPR emphasised the importance of diversity, inclusiveness, and co-existence, describing these values as the hallmarks of Pakistan’s great nation. “Minority communities are an indispensable and important part of our society,” the statement read.
The ISPR also reaffirmed the commitment to protecting the rights and freedoms of minority communities, as enshrined in the Constitution of Pakistan and in accordance with Islamic principles. “The rights and freedoms of minorities are sacred,” the statement said.

ISPR also paid tribute to the role of minorities in shaping Pakistan’s history, from the vision of Quaid-e-Azam to the present day. The statement acknowledged the valuable sacrifices and efforts of minority communities in strengthening the country’s cultural identity, development, and social foundations.
