Sher Afzal Marwat

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) outspoken leader Sher Afzal Marwat has said Bushra Bibi, spouse of PTI founder Imran Khan, or his sister Aleema Khan will not be able to mobilise party workers for the PTI protest call on November 24.

Speaking on a private news channel show, Marwat indicated that PTI will not be able to draw large numbers of crowd on November 24, said PTI workers are loyal to Imran Khan and only on his call they will respond.

He was responding to Aleema Khan’s talk to media in which she had said that the jailed PTI founder has given a protest call and sit-in on November 24. She had urged the PTI workers to come out in large numbers for the protest.

In response to a question Marwat said although he was not invited to a party meeting, which was chaired by Bushra Bibi in Peshawar, he wants to play a role in making the upcoming PTI protest a success.

He also warned that if the party fails to finalise strategy in a day or two for the sit-in it will become full of challenges

He said that people from KP would show up for the protest in Islamabad, adding: “The question is how will we hold ground at D-Chowk?”, he was quoted as saying by Geo news.
