Rainfall predicted in Punjab from next week

LAHORE: Rainfall has been predicted in several areas of Punjab from next week, bringing some relief from the dry weather conditions causing increased smog and pollution.
According to the Meteorological Department rain-bearing system is expected to enter Pakistan on Monday, bringing rainfall to Punjab
The rain spell is likely to reduce pollution and break the ongoing spell of dry weather.
Punjab schools: Winter vacations revised
The Meteorological Department reported that the minimum temperature in Lahore was recorded at 4°C, with a maximum temperature expected to reach 19°C.
Rain is anticipated to improve air quality and provide relief from the dry weather conditions.
Meanwhile, cold and dry weather is expected in most parts of the country, with very cold conditions in upper regions over the next 12 hours.
Moderate to dense fog may form in parts of Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and upper Sindh during the night and early morning hours.
Frost is also likely in Islamabad, Pothohar, Kashmir, and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa during the morning.

Islamabad two degrees centigrade, Lahore seven, Karachi fourteen, Peshawar one, Quetta minus three, Gilgit minus five, Murree one, and Muzaffarabad zero degrees centigrade.
