LAHORE: Rubina Jamil, a former member of the National Assembly from the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), became the first woman leader from the PTI to be granted bail in the Jinnah House attack case.
An Anti-Terrorism Court issued a written order approving the bail of former Member of National Assembly (MNA) Rubina Jamil following her arrest.
Judge Ejaz Buttar approved MNA Rubina Jamil’s bail on medical grounds.

In the order, the judge noted that according to police records, the accused was found empty-handed during the attack while raising slogans.
However, it should be noted that MNA Rubina might not be released from jail immediately, as additional sections were added to the FIR, and she will need to seek bail under those provisions separately.
In addition to the Jinnah House attack case, the police have also registered two other cases against the former MNA.
It’s worth recalling that MNA Rubina was elected in 2018 on reserved seats for women.
