Security forces kill 16 terrorists near Pak-Afghan border

ISLAMABAD: Security forces killed 16 terrorists after they attempted to infiltrate Pakistan via the Pak-Afghan border near North Waziristan.
According to a statement issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), security forces closely monitored the movement of a group of terrorists attempting to infiltrate Pakistan through the Pakistan-Afghanistan border in Ghulam Khan Killi, North Waziristan, on the night of March 22-23.
The ISPR said that Pakistani troops thwarted the infiltration attempt and killed all 16 terrorists in the ensuing exchange of heavy gunfire.
The ISPR said that the interim Afghan government is expected to fulfil its responsibilities and prevent Afghan soil from being used for terrorism against Pakistan.

The military spokesperson reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to securing its borders and eradicating terrorism, stating that the security forces are fully prepared to eliminate this menace at any cost.
PM commends security forces on successful operation
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif lauded the security forces for thwarting the infiltration attempt by terrorists from Afghanistan and appreciated the officers and personnel involved in the operation.
He said that Pakistan would never allow terrorists’ nefarious designs to succeed.
In his statement, he emphasized that he, along with the entire nation, stands firmly with the country’s brave armed forces in their unwavering resolve to protect Pakistan from terrorism.
