Six killed in house explosion in Phalia

MANDI BAHUDDIN: Six people, including women and children, have been killed and five injured in an explosion in a house in the Paharyanwali area of Phalia.
According to rescue officials, the explosion occurred while fireworks were being prepared inside the house, causing a short circuit. As a result of the blast, the roof of the house caved in killing six people including women and children and injuring five. The blast was so intense that even the neighbour’s house was damaged.

The deceased include Rimsha (30), Iqra (25), Imran (32), Sumera Bibi (36) and a one-month-old baby Pakeeza Fatima, according to the rescue officials.
The injured include Asim (17), Mohamamd Ramzan (25), Razia (35), Ayesha (4) and Mohammad Mousa (6).
The injured and the deceased have been transported to a nearby hospital.
