Son of Sh Rashid close aid arrested

RAWALPINDI:  Police Monday conducted raids on properties linked to Awami Muslim League Chief Sheikh Rasheed’s close associate Qasim Shah.

Rawalpindi police recently carried out raids on two residences belonging to Qasim Shah, a close friend of  AML chief Sheikh Rasheed. During the operation, Syed Aon, son of Qasim Shah, was detained by the authorities.

The initial raid took place at the airport, followed by another one in the Loi Bhir area. Family members of Qasim Shah have alleged that the police vandalized both houses during the raids and seized CCTV cameras and DVRs.

The affected families have further accused the officials of mistreating women and children, as well as engaging in acts of torture.
