Thousands flock to KP’s scenic areas to celebrate Eid


PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s merged districts, formerly known as tribal areas, witnessed a significant surge in domestic tourism as people from across Pakistan flocked to the picturesque region to celebrate Eid.

During the festive days, numerous fairs took place in various areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, including Gomalzam, Orakzai, and the Razmak area of Waziristan district, attracting the participation of thousands of tourists and local residents alike.

An estimated 200,000 tourists from across the country journeyed to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, where security forces played a vital role in ensuring their safety by offering guidance and implementing robust security measures across different areas of the province.

The public expressed their appreciation for the security arrangements and the provision of necessary facilities.

As Pakistan’s merged districts emerge as popular destinations for holidaymakers, their scenic landscapes and cultural diversity continue to captivate visitor.
