Three senior ECP officials suspended for incompetency

ISLAMABAD: Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Sikandar Sultan Raja has suspended three senior officers of Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) including Provincial Election Commissioner Sindh Sharif Ullah for 120 days due to incompetency and mismanagement.

According to a notification issued on Friday, the Chief Election Commissioner also suspended Director Admin Sindh Election Commission Azhar Hussain Tanwari and Election Officer Karachi Khuda Bukhsh.

Major shift in party positions in National Assembly

The notification further said that all the suspended officials will have to stay in Karachi till further orders and until conclusion of inquiry being conducted against them.
